Have a pot to change on an Indesit BAAN134X(UK) f/f,compressor is a jiaxipera ZBT114CY asian one, possibly a recreated aspera.
Dislacement is 9.93cc but wattage only 112watts it would seem to be one of the energy efficient ones but if I try to replace it by displacenent comparison I have to go to a 1/4 hp which has double the wattage and seems oversized.
Anyone have experience of changing this type and could offer advice, tempted to fit a 1/5th hp.

    Re: Compressor sizing

    Hi

I had the same problem on a BAAN12 which has a TMB compressor fitted. The various alternatives list on pathfinder had wattage of 148 and 176. decided that 1/5 would be good enough for the job.
However on trying to change found that aluminum pipe off evaporater was connected direct to compressor. 😮 😮
Indesit crownd were quite suprised as well – have had to order alum lokrings now to complete the job.

With a 180ltr fridge and 110 ltr freezer capacity I’m using a 6th compressor, still slightly oversize so will see how it goes.
All brazed lines so OK on that one.
Would it be worth setting up a compressor comparison section so info can
    swopped.
