I have a Whirlpool ADP 962 dishwasher that has a problem. It has started smelling of burning partway through the cycle and blows the house fuse as well as its own plug fuse. Is this terminal, a relatively simple repair or somewhere in between?!

im no expert but that sounds like it could be a heater element problem? have you noticed a leak? chances are if you can smell burning that the problem may be visable underneath. disconect it (obviously!) turn it on its side (their heavy!careful!) and remove the metal panel and any sound deading material in the way, now you should be able to see all the elctrcal components! see if you can see any burnt wiring or conectors etc if you cant your going to need a sparky to do some testing for you (everybody knows one!)
