    Hi

I have a BFI620 and recently it has stopped emptying the water at the end of any wash cycle. This did end in the first two LED lights (left to right) flashing. I was able to reset this and begin a new cycle which would eventually empty the water.

I’m not able to do this now. When a new cycle is started the dishwasher just hummmms then beeps and flashes the same 2 LEDs.

I have read elsewhere and it is an error code related to empty time out and I have taken out what I think the empty pump is but it is completely clear.

I did turn on the machine whilst it was on its side and discovered that the HOTPOINT WASH MOTOR / PUMP was turning around but very slowly and the motor was getting pretty hot. I’m pretty sure that this is not normal for a motor. I would just but a new one but its quite expensive.

The motor does not spin freely and seems quite stiff but not sure if this is normal behavior.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated

Its basically a cheap Indesit dishwasher with Hotpoints name on it.

Whilst it is rather daft to try and run it on its side :rolls: it does sound as though the main circulation pump is faulty. Cut your losses and invest in a BSH integrated dishwasher.
