Called to this dishwasher as it was taking out the RCD. Tested machine and circulation motor was at fault. The circulation pump seals had failed. Replaced the motor and pump seals. The circulation pump now works well but will not stop running even on program reset. The only way to stop the circulation motor is to turn the machine off. Sent module for repair to QER with same fault on refitting. Have I missed anything?

Hmmmm , strange one . Are you sure the wires have gone back onto the correct contacts on the new motor , remembering that the pins on the motor AREN’T numbered consecutively ?

It’s worth checking the numbers under the connectors and it should be , from right to left as you look at the motor , 1 4 2 3 .

The colour coding is as follows where the cables are concerned :-

    Small White on 1
    Pink on 4
    big white on 2
    Nothing on 3……

And make sure you havn’t connected the Earth onto pin 3 as this will probably form a constant motor circuit…..There is a seperate earth connector on the side of the motor

Thanks for the response. I have rechecked the connections and they are correct as per your reply. I think the module is the fault. Have you a wiring circuit for this machine. I am at a loss as to where the supply can be coming from, or is there a switched neutral for the motor?

    Regards
