    Mum and Dads double fridge has died, so we went looking in Currys and Comet for a replacement. No go it seems. Any suggestions for a decent double fridge thing?

    Is this thingy an American style fridge freezer by any chance? Any info would help 😉 as would any size restrictions.

    Hi Don,
    Not American big style double door one. A regular 575cm width, Like a single fridge doubled up…

    Hi Sean

    I`ve not come across one of these in the UK I must admit. Commercial versions are side by side and expensive as well.

    The best I can come up with in a large capacity fridge would be a large single door like this Bosch or a quad door like this Liebherr

    The only other way would be two seperate machines safely stacked and secured.

    Thanks Don.
    We did play with the idea of stacking two small fridges on top of each other… Then we got into the concept of energy usage.

    Do two units use more energy than a big single fridge, but then one is only opening one door at a time…

    The Bosch one looks good, but a lack of shelving options…

    The Liebherr reminds me of Robbie-The-Robot lol

    Big Bosch will use approx £14 per year and two under counter 60cm fridges would be in the region of £27.20, two seperate systems for double the cost. More economical to have one large single door 😉 😀

    From an independant retailer 😀 it may cost more however you will recieve a higher level of service compared to say the big C`s or indeed the net.
