    Hi,
Our Bosch PKF675T01/E ceramic hob was accidentally cracked a short while ago when a glass fell on the edge. The crack started off as a small impact crack like a spiders web but gradually a long thin crack radiated out all the way across the width.
Is it possible to repair them? Maybe removing the toughened (not tough enough ;)) glass panel and replacing?
I can’t really justify the £600+ expense to buy a new one.
If it is possible have you any idea of cost/time taken? Also, who might do it besides possible Bosch?

    Thanks all,
    Matt

    Hi Matt

I think the correct enr no. is PKF675T01E/01. You could try using the find an engineer link in your post 😉 Due to the cost of replacing the glass which will probably be around the £300 mark I would be looking to claim on your household contents insurance policy accidental damage section, don`t forget about any excess you may have.

New Bosch hobs start around £299 Inc of VAT for a PKE611C14D which will come with a two year warranty.

    HTH 🙂

    Don
