Our old Rosieres oven has blown another heating element in the left hand fan oven and despite getting a replacement online and checking that it works ok have not been able to reconnect it successfully (as it keeps tripping the RCD) and a friend with Voltage tester has checked it out and can’t find an obvious solution – maybe the switch has blown? He suggested I ask if anyone out there might have access to a wiring diagram or service manual (online seacrhes have brought me no success other than to here.

Can anyone suggest ways forward that won’t cost the earth? – better still, that allow me to replace the element accurately myself (simply replacing what I thought were the wires to the relevant connections HASN’T worked!!).

Any pointers would be gratefully received – and will make my wife VERY happy (haven’t managed that for some time!!)

Thanks in the hope that someone out there knows some answers.

    Chris,

Are the indicator neon lights on the control panel visible and working as the tend to break off behind the control panel and short on the casing.
