    Hi Guys

I have a Bosch sgv46m03gb integrated dishwasher. Its approx 2yrs old but has been intermittently leaking out the front RHS ofthe washer over the last 6 months or so. Cleaned door seals each time and no more leaks for a few weeks….

Earlier this week walked into the kitchen and could smell some electrics getting hot only thing running was the dishwasher. Opened diswasher to be greated with the tap icon and 33mins remaining. Though the dishwasher pump was still running when I opened the door!!!! Checked out the forums on here for advice on washer still running with door open and this seems to be something to do with a leak in the system which fills up the overflow. The dishwasher still runs with the door open as a safety function. Advice to that person was to empty overflow and find source of leak. Though this advice was for another Bosch dishwasher.

Therefore I removed any water from inside the washer, cleared any particles from the pump area, disconnected and checked the supplies pulled out the Dishwasher and attempted to work out how to open the washer up to access the overflow tank. While tipping it on its side I was greated with a large puddle of water and wet socks. I then righted the washer and ran a 30mins empty cycle which worked without a fault. Then washed all the dishes on a full cycle which ran to the end but the burning smell was noted again.

Wife ran another cycle during the day where it failed, showing the tap icon and approx 100mins remaining. Pulled out unit and tipped washer up again to remove water (used a towel this time) righted it and again and it is currently running a full cycle atm.

So question is how do I get into the bloody thing to find out where the leak is coming from? are there any manuals I can download?

Any advice on what to look for? or look out for?

Am I looking in the right direction?

    Cheers

Well looks like I have managed to repair the washer. Stripped it down by removing the front door to access 2 x screws under the door which enabled me to get to the 2 x side panels. On the LHS of the machine was the water matrix and the RHS a pipe. I ran a 30 min cycle with the panels off to watch for leaks and what the water matrix did. There was a bit of debrie around the none return valve and overflow return matrix. This seemed to slow the action of the valve and prevented the return of the overflow water back into the machine. So I remove the matrix and gave it a good clean out. Refitted and watched a full cycle run with the sides off.
Water flowed round the matrix and any that got passed the valve was redirected back into the machine 😀 .

So far its ran 5 cycles without a hicup where it failed before running just 2 cycles. Fingers crossed I its now sorted 😉 .

I have taken a pic of the water matrix before I cleaned it out if anyone is interested I will post it up.

    Cheers
