ParticipantThis might be a daft question to anyone in the know, but hear we go.
I am a sole trader as some of you know need a bit of kick up the b*m somtimes to get out there, so i dont earn much.
But i do pride myself with my standard work.
do you think it would be worth my while to try and join DASA.
Been in trade 25 years and time served sparky, self imployed 7 years due to mass redundancy (EEB).
What would i gain ❓April 29, 2004 at 11:15 am #111340Martin

KeymasterScott,
Why don’t you change your email address in your profile to the dasanet one and click the checkbox to make it public? It’ll save you typing it out all the time.

Hi Streetlighter,
What would you gain, for a start recognition from Manufacturers, sell insurance cover on machines up to six years old plus you get all the work, also you make money on the sale plus when the customer pays for another year you receive the commission again, not bad eh. Plus Network DASA, etc. 😀 😀As Scott said, come along to a meeting and meet us. Make your Application now.

At the moment not a lot.
Dasa has for years been going down a course of action that has seen it move away from doing things for member benefits to doing things that sound impressive and achieve F.A.
We have recently put a stop to that and Dasa will have to change to retain its present membership. If the change is not forthcoming then there are quite a few who will leave………
All this will rob Dasa of a large core of the members who actually turn up and make the decisions, so where will Dasa end up then.
Save your money at the moment……wait whilst we try to put the whole concept of Dasa back on course and in the meantime do consider coming to our meeting in July and meet face to face those of us who turn up.
PS our membership will restart in October 2004 from the AGM so you do have time to assess us first and decide with 1st hand info

KeymasterAll those with an interest are welcome.
Dasa is there to support it’s members, BUT at this critical time in it’s life it needs it’s members to support it.
All members old, new and prospective are welcome, all we ask is that you
contact john at the above address so that we can cater for the numbersJP

ParticipantStreetlighter,
Go, then make your own mind up. If nothing else, you’ll contact like minded people in your own area; and you don’t have to join a club to have a few local contacts!Personally I found DASA didn’t float my boat some 10 years back, but I’m willing to be convinced.
