Ok got this machine ,you cannot turn the power off with the on/off switch ,the only way to turn it off is by un plugging it. When you plug it back in the power light comes on along with the rinse hold light which flashes continually untill you press and hold the start button. You can select all the programs but it will not start the programs ,tried cleaning the board plugs etc ,and tried a new door lock but made no difference. Any ideas ?

Certainly sounds like board problem :rolls: . Could be worth trying the 10uf capacitor trick,….. maybe.
See first post in “Simple PCB repairs tips” sticky at head of forum.
Or, second thoughts, could be one or more tactile switches gone wonky on board. Is it in a damp environment?
