Found this morning that our dishwasher stopped in the night before the cycle had finished. Seems that the

When trying to restart it, the programme button merely cycles between the programmes but does not allow them to be selected.

Have found that holding the P button for 10 secs causes the last two lights to flash & this is I understand the ‘go to end of cycle’ condition. But when the door is shut, you only hear two little beeps & nothing happens. The lights continue to flash together until the P button is pressed again.

Switching off & on makes no difference, nor does unplugging.

    Any thoughts out there ?

    cheers

Oops ! The first para should have read…
” Seems that the cycle had almost finished in the night because lower tray items are all perfectly clean, but upper tray items still quite dirty..”

    hi,
My best guess is that an anti flood is operating and stopping the cycle mid way. The top basket not washing is an indication of water shortage, you may also have a blockage in the spray arms which would cause this.

However if you do indeed have an anti flood problem then its an engineers call to sort out and not something I would advise you to tackle as DIY.
