    I need a motor for a WMA50, date code 30.

It has the later type motor with the plug at the rear. Two motors listed, 1604572 for the later motor and 1604116 for the motor and adaptor kit.

Partfinder says that motors are not interchangable.

Later motor 1604572 is not in stock at Masterpart but the 1604116 motor and kit is. (And is cheaper as well) Surely the motor from this kit will fit directly to the machine with the later wiring harness.

    Unless you know better.

    Jim.

Not tried it myself Jim but i have heard of a couple other guys using the 1604116, seems to work okay the only problem i can see is the length of the harness maybe.

Thats what I mean, this machine already has the plug at the back so the later motor in the kit should also have the plug at the back.

I have never actually seen one but I am guessing the kit is just a wiring extension plug????

Maybe it is a wiring extension and crossover at the same time and if that is the case then if your wiring loom is long enough then just alter the wires… However, they may have also altered the plug/socket.

The 1604116 will fit fine, you may just have to extend the earth wire.
