    Guys,

Wonder if you might be able to point my in the right direction?

Went to see a Beko tumble drier that wasn’t producing any heat the other day. I was flying through so did a quick check of the stats on the heater element but they (and the element) were in working order. I did notice that when initially tuning the machine on the element heated for about 10 seconds before turning off.

I was hoping that I’d be able to work it out from the diagrams on Connect’s mediator but my computer is having issues with Adobe products at the moment.

Does anyone have experience of these machines? I’m hoping to get back to it in the next day or two but a little assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Yours,

    Mark

I am going to one of these tomorrow, I have not come across these driers before, and the customers description of the fault matches yours, I would be interested to know what you found.

    Re: Beko DRVS62W tumble drier

I’ve been looking at one of these.
The customer complaint is that what used to take two hours to dry a load now takes about 3 & a half hours.
I noticed that the current drawn was not at all constant; motoring only about 0.5A after reversal; ijumping to 2.5A shortly after resuming rotation and running for short timeat this level, before another jump to 6.8A until the next reversal of direction.
The appliance rating plate states 2000watts. The dryer is not achieving this at any stage.
This is the first of these I’ve seen so I’me asking / hoping for help from someone with experience of these.
    Many thanks in advance,
    tom

Doesn’t this model have the sensor-bar just inside of the door.. if so, give it a clean with some alcohol and you’ll fine that correct the heating problem when the heater and stats are found to be ok

thanks Allsorts for your quick reply. I had noticed this suggestion on another ukw posting & have tried doing so but it has not cleared the fault. Maybe I need to give it a bit of a scrubbing with a plastic brush along with the alcohol; I just used a cloth soaked in IPA.
