How many of you are doing direct work for Comet?
Maidstone branch has lost over 30 engineers in two years half were corgi
they now are contracting out to independants and not training any more gas. There was talk of them wanting the manufacturers to take it back on.
They pay £49/52 per job.

There’s been talk on and off for a while about the viability of Comet doing in house repairs with bought out guarantees since the split with Kingfisher (and before).
Rumours have come and gone that some work providers were being offered contracts etc, nothing ever seems to happen, perhaps it is starting to now 😉
Who knows what will come of it, there sure isn’t any independant work my way from them, and to be honest, if they offered it I’d tell them where to shove it anyway and wait for the same work to come via the manufacturer or insurer.
