creda double oven?

i know this is a long shot,cust has called saying he tried a DIY on his oven element,consequently he somehow made one of the contacts short and now the fan runs constantly,he also says only part of the element is working,i have no model number as yet but am going out to look tomorrow,any suggestions appreciated. 8)

I’d check the selector switch for welded together contacts.
