ParticipantHi fella’s , this is my own machine and the drum has become very noisy during spin so i suspect the bearings have gone. Having had no experience on this machine and the bearings , does anyone have any pointers or tips that might make it an easier job ? ( aside from ” chuck it in a skip ” 🙂 )
Looking through the shop@ , it seems as if it’s a complete rear plate . Does this sound right ? Here is the part i found http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/Washing+ … embly.html
Obviously £125 is a lot of wonga to spend out so i need to make sure this is exactly what i need or is there a cheaper way of sorting it . Is there a new seal that should be fitted too ?
The machins about 5 1/2 yrs old
Cheers in advance for any advice
Paul

Is this a tongue in cheek post?
If not, then sorry for thinking it might be.
Bearing kit BRG4646 from connect is listed for your model.
£8.00 trade.
This model is pretty straight forward if I remember correctly. About 16 (10mm) self tappers around the back. You can tease the backhalf through the back of machine with a bit of squeezing.
You can also get a new gasket for the backhalf. £8.00.
But I always found a clean up and deebor did the trick.

ParticipantGot to remember Tim that i only work on BSH kit so anything not from our own stable i have no idea on ! One of the differences of being a company engineer i suspect.
When i did s search on this site and google for bearings for my model , they all came up with what looks like a complete back plate ? Thats why i asked the question about whether this is whats needed. So , i’m guessing the bearings can be bought seperately then ?

The ‘tongue in cheek’ comment wasn’t towards your knowledge/skill as that is taken as read.
I should have been clearer. 😳It was in regards to anyone in the trade spending £125 on a Servis washing machine.
No rudeness intended.
If you want me to get you the kit let me know.
Tim.
