I have a Creda Advance Condenser Energy Saver Tumble Dryer – Model : T601CW.
My problem is how to clean out the Float Camber. Can someone please suggest how I can do this other than a major strip-down.
The door filter is cleaned after each time, and the condenser unit is back-washed approx. every month.
Each time the condenser unit is cleaned I reach into the rear chamber and remove any wet fluff, but fail to work out how to clean out the float chamber housed below as there only appears to be about a 10 mm. wide slot feeding the condensed water down into the float chamber.
Any help would be appreciated.
Re: How Do I Clean Out The Float Camber of Creda Tumble Drye
As you have surmised the only way to fully access the float chamber is via a complete strip down. 😥
There is a drain aperture at the back that you can poke a large plastic bag tie into, it will get some gunge out but not much use in completely cleaning the chamber.
Re: How Do I Clean Out The Float Camber of Creda Tumble Drye
It helps if you have the heater cover off but the thing just clips together. With the lid section hinged back you can lift out the centre section housing the pump and float. You then lift off the float itself for cleaning and swab out the bottom of the tank. When finished you can test operation of pump. With the cabinet lid off you can remove the top tank and pour water down the drain hole at the back of the housing. Refit the empty top tank and run the machine to see if the tank starts to fill up.
