ParticipantHi,
Looking at the diagnostics advice, a code comes up where the first and fifth lights are lit up (10001000) – what ever that means… EDIT – this was LEFT to RIGHT… RIGHT TO LEFT would obviously be 00010001 – so forth and eighth.
The problem is that when you put on the machine, it starts to fill, then stops, then starts, then stops, then completely cracks it and just continues beeping…
Any ideas what parts I need to replace to fix this…
a completely separate issue is the fact the hot water does not work at all.. but this has been the case for a while. (i can live without hot water washing though)

It’s down as a sequencing error – the two pcbs are not talking to each other correctly. Unplugging it and plugging it back in later may clear the problem.
Always worth doing the basics – check lid and out of balance swicthes for function, sogginess and corrosion, also the resistance through the inlet valve solenoids.

ahhh… sorry, but whats a PCB??
I have checked the wiring and all looks to be corrosion free.. Did the unplug trick and that didn’t seem to work either.. I am not savvy enough to check the switches, so I am thinking I should replace the inlet valve solenoid?
Do you think this fix the problem? Or can you give me some tips on how to check the function of the two switches?

PCB = Printed circuit board. The machine has two, the motor board and the display board.
Either one could be at fault, the connecting wiring could be playing up as well.
Not much more I can tell you – BSP my be able to add to this.

Thanks Penguin… I have now replaced both inlet valve solenoids and the problem persists… All the wiring seems to be corrosion free (looks as good as new)…
In pulling the machine apart, I also found both switches that you spoke of, and both seem to be working…. The machine will do nothing while either is triggered which leads me to believe that are operative…
So I am lost for solutions… any other ideas that I can try… other than buying a new machine… 🙂
Thanks mate.
