    Hi,
The drian pump on my 5 year old WMA washer keeps running even though there is no more water coming out.

I have cleaned the trap in the hose under the drum and can hear the relay clicking.

I have checked one of the brushes (the other is harder to get at) and it has 1/4 of an inch left.

It just doesn’t seem to think its empty so won’t start the spin programme.

    Thanks,

Is the drum revolving at all, does it turn on a wash programme?

no, the drum doesn’t revolve at all on any programme.

1/4″ isn’t very much to be left on the brushes, and they can wear unevenly so the other side may be worse. Take the motor off and check both brushes, you will probably find at least one is dull on the end due to the poor contact.

Replace but make sure they are bedded in with a comm stick as well. Part will probably either be this or this depending if you have the FHP or Bosch motor fitted.

It’s normal for the drain pump to continue running as this runs throughout the spin cycle.

Or of course you could need THESE if your machine has a CESET motor. 😉
