    Old Zanussi vented sensor dryer

    TD530 916840005/02

I ordered a new belt for this machine which came through as an 1830H8.

When I got to the machine the belt, retrieved by the customer, was an 1880H7. (The customer couldn’t read it when I asked over the phone.)

I fitted the new belt but obviously the belt was a much tighter fit.

Assuming the belt was correct for the model was this to eliminate the need of the tension pulley? As I couldn’t fit the pulley with that size belt.

    Thanks.

If the motor is at the top, then it is possible to do away with the tensioner and use a stretch belt. Andy

    Yes well remembered andy,
I remember doing this when I worked at service force, cant remember the exact model but definatley used to use stretch belt and do away with tensioner.

    Brilliant, thanks very much.

I’m glad what I told the customer was correct.

I think you might find that Zanussi changed from a stretch belt to a tensioned one because drums whre getting tight due to fluff build up and they snapped, there is a service bullitin on TDS advising of this, I used to work for service force but havnt seen one of these machines in a couple of years.
so it looks like the belt is of the original and the longer one is for the tensioned style, does it have a tensioner on it?
