They are hooked on to springs inside each side panel. The oven needs to be pulled out of its housing and the side panels removed. The spring hook positions will be clearly seen.
Word of warning – unhook the springs carefully with the door supported as the hinges, once disconnected from the springs, will allow the door to slide out and smash if you haven’t prepared for it. Also, correct reassembly is vital as the hinge has spacers that can get mixed up. It is advisable to photograph every angle of the assembly with a digital camera BEFORE you attempt to dismantle it to avoid possible problems.
That said, it’s not a complex job but care is advised.Power off before any inspection. Safety first!! :plug:

ParticipantHave to say I worked for stoves for 6 years ad never once took off a sidepanel to remove a door, infact if you did that on an rs2 build the cooker you would be screwed as the sidepanel holds the thing together, just put something in the hole you see in the hinge arm closest to the oven to jam it as it tries to pull back in (a nail for example) and do whatever is applicable to work on the oven door, there are two different door assemblies for these types but without you panning back a bit further I cannot tell which type you have, why are you wanting to remove the door ?

Hmmmm, conflicting replies
wsts; I am an Oven Cleaner and remove doors to assist cleaning. I have successfully removed pretty much every door I have come across with the exception of these pesky Stoves hinges. I am familiar with having to use nails to lock hinges, a la Smeg for example, but have always been left scrating my head with these hinges. I have tried a nail in the hole but, whilst it “locks” the hinge, I cannot fathom how the hinge detaches from the body of the oven. Usually, a hinge will have a little notch cut in that latches into the receiver, but not so with Stoves…..

Wsts is correct. You have to put somethimg through the holes on the hinge to lock them, then slide the inner door glass out, then there is a plastic clip either side that you remove, and then you slide the door off.

Oh, the little plastic end caps on bottom of the doors? It is those that can be removed??

No, not at the bottom of the door. they push through from the side on the inside of the door once you have slid the glass out.

Sorry for appearing dumb (I am not, really…. 😀 ) but still not sure about this…..
So, I lock the door hing with a nail. Understood.
I remove inner glass. i would do this anyway to clear both sides of inner glass and inner surface of external glass. Understood.
Now, it’s the plastic clip I am not sure about. Where is this located if it is not on the bottom of the door (there is a plastic end stopper there)??
Is it a plastic pin perhaps?? If so, I can imagine that this may slot though the strips that run up both sides of door and fixes the hinge to the door? Otherwise I still cannot see how this works….. :rolls:Thanks for the replies so far, and your patience……..!

MervI think looking at this that it is the model before the one you are thinking of and if it is its an absolute pain in the rump to do in comparison, from memory you have to remove the door handle and slide the outer door upwards leaving the two metal side strips attached to the door hinges, if you look at the bottom of the door pictured there are no plastic pieces pushed through and the glass stop is a bit of metal sticking out, on the doors where the plastic is pushed in it also doubles as an inner glass door stop.
