Hi looking for some ideas on this one. Machine is a 3 year old AEG 52810, this is the basic non LED display type. For the last few months it has been banging away when attempting to spin, it rebalances and usually after a few attempts spins, although it still thrashes about way too much.

Anyway got much worse last weekend and one spring hanger became disconnected from the drum. time for a look.

Firstly bearings are 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}, the problem seemed to be that it still had water in the drum whilst it was trying to spin.

Gave the drain pipes a good clean all the way back to the soil stack, was pretty grotty, and seemed to solve the problem for a week, until now it’s started again, though not as bad.

So I’ve checked the pipe to the pressure switch, this is clear, gently blowing down it I can hear the pressure switch (appearing) to make. Had the pump off no blocks, seems to run fine, drain hose blows through fine.

So starting to run out of ideas, only thoughts are pressure switch contacts intermittent, float valve (like a ping pong ball) in hose from outer drum to pump has been sticking, or ….any ideas – Thanks Paul

Re: AEG 52810 – Not pumping out

I should have mentioned, the w/m clearly does pump out, but doesn’t seem to be getting it all out. After switching to the drain program it will spin OK, which I’m assuming means the pre spin drain in the wash cycle is shorter, therefore any problems fully draining will mean it tries to spin with some water in the drum.

    Please any ideas gents !

    Hi

You still have a blockage somewhere, take bottom hose off and clean out around the ball.

Remeber power off and unplug for safety.
