Could someone please help?
The top rotor on our dishwasher won’t rotate and as a result cleaning results are poor.
There seems to be a good supply of water to the arm, all holes are clear and it is free to rotate easily but it remains static and is often accompanied by a clunking sound. When the arm is removed, the clunking stops.
I have previously replaced both the heater tube and the pump. When the pump was initially replaced (about 3 months ago) the arms span with a vigor not seen previously but now they just appear static although spouting water.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Thanks
The top rotor feeder pipe has a habit of popping out of its socket in the top of the sump. The little clips that hold it in place fatigue and split letting the force of the water literally lift the pipe out of position. This disconnects the top rotor from the wash pump. 😉
The pipe socket is readily available: the job is a fiddly but otherwise straightforward repair.
