    i have noticed my heater element is going rusty in places even tho it still heats up,does anyone know how i remove the old element,can it be removed with the machine laid on its back?

    No need to tip the dishwasher back – access the heater terminals and clamp plate through the front plinth space. Remove the plinth and you will see. 😉

    If the heater is working, why change it? A DW915 is getting on in years now so throwing large amounts of cash at it is the wrong thing to do as some parts are obsolete for this machine. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! But it has to be said, you will find it difficult to get a new machine that can work and last as long as the Zanussi DW915. Top grade Bosch / Siemens or Miele are your only real choices at £500+. Electrolux own Zanussi now and their offerings are……..well, not good shall we say.
