ParticipantJust my luck and I’ve got a well endowed customer with a support problem. :rolls:
Worst still and she’s got it stuck big time in a Siemens WDI1640GB/01 which by all accounts is a SMEG IN A SKIRT (apparently?) 😕
This built-in beauty has been installed by ‘Richard Head and his monkeys’ and half the tiny galley kitchen will need taking apart just to get the ruddy m/c out! Before I do that the false back to the sink will need hacking about just to get to the stopcock. The drain outlet is wedged behind the soddin’ Indesit d/w. And the floor tiles are 1.5″ above the feet of the m/c. So a bit of lifting, humping and thumping required just to get the darn thing out!
So, my question, it appears the bra wire is stuck between the inner drum and the front outer drum and therefore not accessible without taking the drum front off. So, how do I access the drum front to remove it? Will I need a new tub gasket to put it back together?
Any info would be gratefully appreciated or if anyone fancies a challenge and wouldn’t mind a trip to deepest Berkshire, then I’m up for it and she is too (apparently that is?) 😈

I have had situations in the past, irrelevant what make of machine, where something has got caught between the front of the drum and the tank. With the customers permission I have levered away the front of the drum just wide enough to release the object (key, jewelry etc.) and then pushed the front of the drum back into place and planishing out as much as you can. The most damage I have left is a minor crease that has no functional nor cosmetic problems. I use a large, flat bladed screwdriver. Looks a bit barbaric but surprising how you can ‘make good’, afterwards and you don’t have to remove the machine. Try it on a ‘write off’ first if it sounds a bit daunting,
Good luck,June 10, 2010 at 9:12 pm #322121admin

Ah but this big boobed beauty has got tangled in a knot and lodged between the drum and only front plate removal can be the answer. Inner and outer drums are stainless too.
Thanks for the emails guys, much appreciated!

Try forcing a wire hook between drum and front plate . Then rotate drum and hook together to drag bra wire to 12 oclock position . with gravity on your side maybe you can hook it out.
