Creda 275 T/d 30 years been like this
Delivered washing machine and had to remove the tumble dryer from adjacent cupboard to get to waste pipe.Could not believe that this was still plugged in and still used!
The customer had to modify the back panel so it would sit snuggly around the waste pipe that ran along the back wall.
Notice that the panel is rusty due to waste pipe dripping slowing into the heater, rusty hole and metal work almost touching element.
It still dried clothes, unbelievable!!

The 275 was built like the proverbial brick outhouse so fair play to their ingenuity over these many years. Take the back off any vented dryer these days and try running it for 30 seconds never mind 30 years and I can guess the outcome being pretty darned obvious. But I have to say even the 275 had pretty dam dodgy heater boxes so christ knows how that made it through? 😕
