Can anyone tell me the meaning of this error code and its likely solution? Advice from a do-it-yourself perspective would be quite welcome, as this dishwasher is at our vacation home on the Greek island of Milos, and service technicians can be difficult or impossible to find.

    Thanks very much.

Thank you for your advice. This problem later evolved into a different problem where the unit would issue a series of double flashes and beeps.

I found I could reset the unit, but the problem would immediately recur. On the advice of someone I met online, I disconnected the heater and tried again. This time the cycle began normally (although it failed to complete because it detected the “missing” heater).

When I replugged the heater, the error recurred. But resetting a couple of times ended up with the machine mysteriously running normally again. Problem solved…at least for now, although I don’t feel very confident in this.

This machine sits idly for months at a time. Perhaps the cause is corroded contacts?

Thanks for any wisdom you can share. And a source of Whirlpool spare parts in Greece would also be appreciated.
