I have got a WMA40 with the wrong module in. Does any one know what the part number is for the correct module?
    Regards,
    Mike.

Why not reprogram the one you have in place?? Or can you not get one already programmed from EMW

Its a 1604321, fits loads of different models and has to be programmed when fitted into the machine.

Sounds good. How do I reprogram ? I have got some 1000 spin boards with various AKO part numbers but I do not know what the original AKO number was.

    1000 spin boards. 😕

The 1604321 board will fit 1000 to 1200 spin machines.
What makes you think they are 1000 spin boards?

Do you not have the configuration codes for these machines?

This is the label info from a new 1604321 PCB.

Thanks for the reply Iadom. I think the second triac will select a tap on the field coil used on the last part of the spin over 1000 rpm. This is not needed on 1000 or less spin machines. Hence 6 pin motors for 1000 spin, pin 7 is the field centre tap switched by the seconded triac to get faster speeds (I think???).
I have never needed to configure a WMA board so I know nothing about it.

    Mike.

When you buy a new board, it comes with a configuration sheet, which tells you how to programme it. Sounds like you need that sheet.

    Have sent you some stuff.

H’mm, I was just wondering how you identified the boards as being 1000 spin boards unless you knew you had removed them from 1000 spin machines of course.

    I carry the three most common WMA boards, 1603828. 1603557 & 1604321.
All have two triacs and the same motor/doorlock connections and fit machines from 900 to 1200 spin speeds.

The 1604321 PCB fits well over 30 different models with top spin speeds of 1000, 1100 or 1200 dependant on model.

Did Chris send you manual/leaflet 5406930, if not I can let you have a copy, might come in handy.

Re: Hotpoint WMA40 module part number.

Yes, I removed it from a 1000 spin machine. A single triac WMA board cannot go faster than 1000 rpm. If you look on the WM series timers you find the same thing with a single triac being 1000 spin. It may be that new boards are universal and only use the field triac when the loaded program calls for it.
Chris sent a manual which had all the info I needed to sort the problem. Give me your email and I will send it on.
    Regards,
    Mike.

Re: Hotpoint WMA40 module part number.

I think I may already have all the info and more 😉

What threw me was that the correct PCB for a WMA 40, the 1604321 has two triacs and will fit various speed configurations from 1000 to 1200.

The single triac board is not that common now, I think it was superceded a good while back.

    Jim.
