I have recently been given a Proline fridge/freezer that has been in store for a few months but was used regularly for its previous two years of live. It has been suggested to me that there may be a problem if it is switched on – something to do with the gases. Has anyone any advice as to the safety, or otherwise, of switching this item on and using it?

If it has been stored upright then it can be switched on immediately. If it was stored on it’s side then leave for 8 hours upright before switching on.
