Heads up on this.
John has a meeting with DEFRA for their “Extending life cycle seminar” on 24th June.
DEFRA have accepted our recommendations in terms of durability labelling in some format. This meeting is the first step in exploring that with many, many manufacturers as well as detergent guys attending. All the big names are there.
Unbeknown to us, until John got the call the other day to say that they accept and want to adopt many of our recommendations, John has also been asked to give a twenty minute talk on the subject as well.
It all came as a bit of a surprise and suddenly but, it just shows, perseverance and a little patience does sometimes pay off. 😉
