This washer will not let the customer select any spin speed below 1600. If you push the spin speed button all speeds light up it beeps twice and then resorts back to 1600.

Even if you select a wool wash it still goes to 1600spin. Anyone came across this before or can shed some light on this before I fork out for a £200 board?

Sounds as though it could be the actual soft touch switch on the board. Such delicate little switches are easily damaged by dirt or damp or just being pressed too hard. I’ve not looked at a board as modern as that one but I imagine it should be a common enough type of switch. Probably a fiddly bit of soldering and a part costing pennies from RS or Farnell.

Thought about that Mike, but why would it select a 1600 spin on wools? It shouldn’t let you even if you wanted to.

I tend to put logical questions like that to one side until I’ve done a full examination. Normal logic doesn’t always work in a system with a malfunction.
