    Hello.

Just a quick question… about to replace the carbon brushes on the FHP Motor of my Washer Dryer.

Luckily I have found nearly the right sized ones on the UK whitegoods web sites which is great! 😀

Was thinking does the thickness of the actual carbon make a difference at all…? Even if say the difference between 4.5mm and 6.3mm (ofr example).

Assuming that the length and width of the carbon are identical a difference in the thickness will have an impact on the surface area of the brush in contact with the actual motor.

    Any ideas anyone….?

    Thanks in advance.

Generally speaking no provided the thickness of the carbon brush does not cover more than one segment of the contacts on the end of the motor armature
