thermal fuse

    Hotpoint model FF91S, I have a faulty thermal fuse on my freezer evaporator, brown wires part number 2601685, unfortunately this part is now obsolete. There is a second thermal fuse with blue wires on that is still available just above on the evaporaotor. What is the difference in values with this part, is it possible to fit to keep unit going.

    I think one would be on the neutral and one on the live side,they were after that contained within one unit,if you can read values on the failed one you may be able to find a suitable replacement from electronics suppliers etc but professional advice won’t be forth coming as you will be changing the original design,if problems occurred then fingers can be pointed.
