    Anyone know the part number for the two sol coils just below the water tank ? are they identical ?

    If you mean the valves on the side of the water softener unit, they are different. One is the outlet valve for the water chamber & the other is the regeneration valve. You may find a third valve on the rear of the water softener which is the raw water valve (to allow a certain amount of hard water into the wash). Regen valve 166875, outlet valve 166874, raw water valve 174815.

    Same coils, different plungers… have inter changed coils many times without a problem.
