I have one of these machines totally dead, there’s 240v to the selector switch and the switch contacts look ok but nothing at all happens when a prog is selected. I suspect the control module is faulty, would anyone suspect any other cause ?

    Thanks,
    Albert

Looking at the blow up diagram of this machine, there’s very little else in there it can be, apart from the door lock, but then the lights on the control panel would still come on.

    Thanks Dave,

I can confirm that no lights at all come on, so it looks like the module.

Check the door lock carefully, I have had several machines where the door lock has shorted out internally and blown the module. Fitting a new module with faulty door lock will blow the new module instantly. 🙁

Thought I would add this bit of info to the thread. As with Alberts problem a while back, I too have come across the same problem, in this case with a very similar model (WFL2260UK/12).

First I found the selector switch knob had come out of sequence. I found the inner drive coupling was damaged and ill fitting. I ordered a new coupling and went to fit it today only to discover the cause was due to the main selector switch had burnt out on the Module board. Having to order a complete new board at £104′ ish.

The up-shot being, if you ever come across the later series of Bosch W/m’s with the single rotary programme selector dodgy, then its a new Module AND possibly a new Drive Coupling you’ll need 😉

Looking at one in an hour. Dead no lights. Is it tracks to be linked or component damage as well.
