ParticipantBeen out to the above machine, the machine starts the program ie drains for a few seconds then stops with start/pause button flashing. The customer said now and again it would run a program.
I remember a similar fault on a zanussi where if there was moisture present on the motor it would behave in the same way. I got my heat gun at the motor for a few minutes, but this made no difference.
I then nipped up all the small connectors on the board, pressure switch and solenoids. This seemed to do the trick, I tried the machine on 6 different programs and it started no problem.
Two days later and the same fault has re-occured, I have repeated everything I did the other day but it is not solving the problem.
Is this likely to be the module at fault? or am I missing something?
Cheers

What happens if you disconnect motor?

Checked carbons on mine and they were barely worn, so I don’t think carbon dust would be an issue with mine, but maybe on MadMacs’. :hmm:

Well i returned to this box of fun yesterday afternoon. I had a similar machine sitting in my garage with a failed drum but working otherwise if i remember correctly.
I tried changing the motor, 2 press switches, door lock & heater. Took the main power board completley off & went over it carefully looking for dry joints. Tweaked each & every edge connector going to it.
Result after all that?? Just the bloody same of course 👿
I didnt try my donor machines power board ‘cos i had damaged it in storage :rolls:
The boards are a matched pair anyway as far as i know.
Must be what it is though, wasnt willing to spend any more time on it & my punter certainly wasnt willing to put a new board pair on it so thats another 3 yr old machine for the tip.I’ll know the next time to avoid any showing this fault. open circuit components seem to make these machines drop the display mins down, things like a holed press sw pipe will flag a fault code, but this particular glitch ( going on ‘pause’ shortly into a prog) seems to be a board fault… one lives & learns :rolls:
