BlockedWhat is going on??? Something stinks in this trade now! I don’t get it, first RC, then D&G cuts? Within 2 weeks?
I don’t get that they want to reduce network? Can NEVER have enough engineers on the books IMO?? Even if they are 2nd, 3rd, 50th Tier??? It costs nothing to have them on the books as agents so cutting them makes no saving??
Something smells!

The RC thing I get.
I don’t get the DAG thing, it doesn’t make any sense as you are quite right in that it doesn’t matter the tier or, even if that any work is even passed.
All very strange.
Perhaps a new pricing model is in order for agents though. 😉

Surely if, D&G wanted to re-structure their network, they would have just ‘Shuffled’ Tiers, then advised agents etc etc and leave it to the agents affected to either accept or decline?!
I can’t understand why a Reputable company, would want to ‘Out of the Blue’ burn bridges with many agents that have given them years of graft!
I have a funny feeling, this wont be the only suprise from D&G that occurs over the next 6 Months or so, I think this is the start of something!
But, me is always looking on the dark side now a! 🙂
And can I also say, that D&G not replying to agents, I think is diabolical! Am suprised their doors in Wimbledon are not darkened with severely affected agents!

Exactly, it doesn’t make any sense really.
They could just stop referring work, job done. So, yes, I think there’s another game being played.

I have on occasions had a job from D&G via JTM ❗
Is there a deal being brewing here ❓
Just maybe they can get rid of individual agents knowing they can get coverage via JTM with this less admin costs of dealing with seperate engineers and lower rates paid by jtm they make savings here 💡
Only time will tell, will have to see if jobs increase from jtm.

Lots of references to JTM there………don’t they own / operate 0800Repair? Look at this link posted in the 0800 thread:- http://www.theadvertiserseries.co.uk/bu … _turnover/
Are they looking after their own at the expense of us indies? It may be coincedence; it may be completely unconnected; but it may explain some goings – on. Dates line up; they have a huge rise in business in a quiet period; agents get sacked at the same time 0800 boast huge expansion; more franchises being punted, could 0800 have been set up to redirect the business and corner the market…………. 😕 I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but from the outside looking in, it just seems too coincidental.

No.
DAG competes with CSS for warranty stuff which owns JTM/0800. 😉

Heard from a suit somewhere, that ServiceForce have been leaning on D&G for All or Most of their network repairs (Even outside the Electrolux group work)…
Even if true, still doesn’t explain burning bridges with long associated companies, again a simple Tier re-structue would have been enough?!

Yet 0800 boast that D&G are one of thier customers on the front of thier website. The work must be going somewhere and it seems only logical to join the obvious dots.

Is there anything the WTA can do, can we send a letter on behalf of agents concearned?
Can we invite them to the next meeting so we can discuss this 😆

TBH I doubt very much that anyone can do as it’s a commercial decision on the part of DAG.
And, even if they were to turn around and say that they’re not shedding agents then all they’d do is not pass any work to them so, no win.
So far as I am aware DAG refer customers to 0800 where they do not have any cover and, that’s it really. What 0800 choose to make of that in their advertising is a whole other kettle of fish entirely.
