Dyson CR01 Memory. Anyone know the error codes on this machine,or better still get hold of a service manual, getting info is like finding hens teeth.

    Cheers Bob.

I personally cannot wait for news on this posting. James Dyson and his merry men inventing and marketing a ‘unique’ piece of BRITISH hardware that somehow, in this case has, well,…. failed….Surely not 😥

It can’t be all that bad – they’ve been out – what – 4 years now? And I haven’t managed to get my sticky flippers on one yet. So either they’re reliable or service is being offered at a sensible price.

Got to be an engineer with the info out there somewhere though! I await with bated breath.

The rumour I heard was that a german manufacturer bought one and installed in their workshop…………..

Every time it failed under their tutonic testing they called out the service agent to watch what he did!

    Can anyone confirm or expand….

Okay, I’ll share what I know of it from what I’ve heard…

    They are desperately unreliable.

Information is non-existant outside of Dyson, you’d be better trying to get information out of the CIA than them.

James Dyson for some unknown reason doesn’t like the independent trade yet many still sell his products. 😕

There has been quite a few modifications to the machines in the short time they’ve been around.

They should have called it the “Clothes Eater”, not the Contra-Rotator. 😉

Dyson charge a fixed cost to repair (vacs as well I think) including any spares required, hence we don’t see many of them.

If you get one that works you’re doing well.

Well we got our first chargeable repair on the washer booked in to look at tommorow. 😯

Door locked, unable to open, various fault codes none of which have relevence to the user manual. 😕

I’l post back any findings when we’ve been.

kheath As the story goes they installed it & ran it continuously as they were worried about the dent it could make in their sales. It lasted a week before failing, so they called the Dyson man, who arrived & spent several hours scratching his head, ‘cos he hadn’t seen one before. He gave up & ordered parts. Several weeks later he returned with parts & got it working. It lasted another couple of weeks and failed again. German manufacturer was no longer worried about Dyson, so they put it on a shelf in the warehouse, where to my knowledge it still is today !
