Following on from this thread http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ic&t=47154 thanks to the advice from the forum I managed to source and fit a heater kit which has prevented the damper valve from icing up 😀

However, i have another problem which I could use some help with :

The Freezer/Fridge are programmed to -19 / 3 deg.C However, every few days I walk into the kitchen to see the displayed temps have dropped much lower (for example -22 / -1 deg.C) I can hear the compressor running and it won’t stop until I power-cycle the unit.

After a reboot, for a few seconds the display shows the programmed temps (-19 / 3) and then reverts to showing the measured temps which will be even lower than before (e.g. -25 / -5) I’m assuming the temp is lower after a reboot because the displayed temperature is a rolling-average, and the reboot clears older values from the register (?)

Following the reboot, the compressor runs initially, but within a few minutes it will cut-out and the temps will gradually return to the normal/programmed settings.

Any idea what could be causing this ? Sticky relay preventing the cut-out from working ? Faulty logic board ? Just a fridge which *really* enjoys its work and doesn’t know when to quit ?

    Many thanks,

    Pete
