ok, have a WD440P, customer says kid was pushing in all the buttons randomly, now all thats its doing is lighting the power light, and flashing the time saver light like crazy. Cant switch it off via the on/off button, cant cancel anything, machine doesnt take water or anything else, like its not got a program set, customer has unplugged it for a day and still the same. Kinda thinking its got confused or stuck in the test/programing mode, any ideas ?????

I would take off the front PCB and check for sticking or broken buttons first..

Give the kid a swift clip round the ear if you get a chance as well. 😆

    Thanks so far.
Have tried all the above ( apart from the clip round the ear 😛 )
everything looks ok, buttons are fine, not stuck, pcb is seated properly, was wondering if its gone faulty itself and the kid is just a co-incedence, poss main pcb gone faulty ????

Check the capacitors on the main PCB in machine base.

Agree with Steve. It’ll probably be another of those 680uf 10v failures. See “Simple PCB repair tips” sticky. Symptoms slightly different than usual that’s all.
    Mike.
