ParticipantDishwasher starts by giving two bleeps and briefly running the drain pump and then stops. Continues this pulsing cycle of two beeps and brief running of drain pump and nothing else. I don’t get to see many of these over this way but am aware from other threads that PCB’s are not good at times on these machines. I’ll make arrangements to have a look at it properly.
Am I right in thinking that to change the dispenser solenoid and suppressor would be a good start?Any other suggestions?Cheers

Hi Salva,
I tried the dispenser and that was ok. Reset didn’t make any difference either. I’ve decided it is the PCB especially as there is no fault code given although to be fair I have not taken the matter further as I had a problem with this customer paying promptly in the past so I laid out the options before proceeding. I have had success with QER previously on a similar model but decided not to go any further because of my previous experience with this customer and payments. As I suspected the customer decided not to go ahead with any repairs and I am (still) currently waiting to be paid for the work done so far. It took three months last year and a number of reminders before I got paid. They have now had their first reminder.
I have decided with this customer now that I will not do any further work should they ring until they have settled their bill and any future work will have to be payment up front and pay as you go.
There’s a part of me that would like to continue and try and get to the bottom of the fault and I probably would have with one of my more honest and loyal customers but I have to be realistic.
Hope you have success with your problem machine.Cheers

Hi Chris
It sounds like your customers are as good at paying as mine. Have you got a number for QER? I have used EMW a few times and found them to be good and very helpful but always good to have more contacts.
I am putting a quote in for this job tomorrow so if they go ahead i will let you know how i get on.
Thanks for taking time out to replySalva

Hi Salva,
That’s a pity for you! I know other guys around the country have difficulties sometimes. To be fair the majority of my customers will pay immediately the job is completed. As long as customers are honest and up front I don’t mind. I have even had some young couples who I let spread the payments over a few months because they agreed it with me in advance. It’s when they knowingly try it on that’s annoying 😡
I believe the EMW guys are very good although have never used them. Do you have their number?
QER are accessed via their website:http://www.qer.biz/servReps.htm
They don’t do phone calls unless they ring you about your board. It’s a pretty good service though. They have been able to sort out about 75{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of boards I have sent to them and the turn over is usually within the week including posting. HTH 🙂
Cheers

Thanks for that Richard,
I have heard they are excellent. Do you have their contact details? To be fair QER only take a week not because of themselves as their service is very good but because of the postal service around here in the mountains of Wales. First class takes two days and even the next day delivery with DHL from Connect takes two days!! :rolls:
There is no weekend delivery for DHL either which is not helpful so you work around it.
