    This m/c is showing Error 09, motor tries to turn slightly on spin programme but does not rotate drum. Wiring harness to motor looks good, is it likely to be board or motor ?

    Thanks again for the info Bob, is it easy enough to test the windings for continuity on this three phase motor ?
    Also do you know if the earth is connected via the main motor plug ?

    the earth is normaly a single green/yellow wire attached just below the motor plug.
