ParticipantGotta replace an on/off switch on a Bosch WTA3100 dryer with the square type door, any advice on how to get the facia panel off, this is my first of these machines to work at & i don’t wanna break the plastic clips etc, is there a handy way of dimantling them, i just had a peek into it & ordered up the switch, now have to go back & the lady is quite nosey & stood over me all the time when i was there before, obviously i want to look as if i know what i’m doing ( even if i don’t most of the time)!
Ta for any advice in advance.Seamy

Seamy,
I am sure I replied to you about this recently 😕
Oh, maybe it was when The Big Crash happened????
Anyway, you will notice the fascia is held in place with 3 ‘lug & clip’ fixings. Simply place a screwdriver into the lug and with a knifeblade between the panel and the metal top, ease the fascia forward slightly (No need for any force now!) Do the same for the other 2 clips on the top.
The bottom part of the fascia is held with 3 plastic latches that need gently easing upward to disengage. The entire fascia should come away to access the switch etc etc. Refitting is simply a case of carefully aligning the timer drive shaft in position before pushing the fascia back.
Easy !! 😉

P.S Print this off before UKW crashes again 😉 😉 😉

No probs seamy,
Incidentally, to distract your customer from standing over you and watching simply ask “I work better with a cup of tea love, any chance of a brew?” She then buggers off to make one and you are set to fumble with the fascia 😉
It’s what ya know and how you go about it I reckon 🙂
