First time buyer

    I’m about to buy my first house and will need all sorts of kit to make it work as a home. What I would like help on is what should I expect to pay for a decent quality US style fridge and a range cooker.

    Pedro,

    For a US style 2 door fridge I personally recommend Admiral (aka) Maytag. Also the Samsung is good value.

    Thanks for your help – the fridges are a bit pricey but the cookers seem to be quite reasonable.

    Are there any other manufacturers worth considering?

    You could also consider LG and Whirlpool who now market a shallow depth side by side. You should be able to get one for under four figures of reasonable quality.
