Solution in post below has solved the problem:
Hi – We have a whirlpool washing machine, AW0/D4305 service no.
859233115000.If we put it on a programme it gets to rinse and then last four lights (rinse, anticrease, drain/spin and Service) all come on, except for Quick Wash which finishes the programme but won’t spin quickly. EDIT (with or without a load)
A few weeks ago started not spinning at high speed, but would on second attempt but in the last few days will never get to high speed spin, just slowly turns till end.
Have taken off the waste hose from the sinks plumbing and checked that it is pumping water out and that the hose/fitting is not blocked. Seems OK. No water is visible in the drum at the end of the cycle. Been told it’s the control board – part is nearly as much as a new machine… any advice?
Seem to have fixed it. Downloaded the manual duh!
Read about service light and it basically tells you to turn the machine off on the front panel and at the wall. Turn it back on again and turn the programme control to drain/spin. Press start within fifteen seconds and the machine did a proper speed spin.
I’ve now done a 95 degree wash and all seems ok. Suppose it doesn’t rule out the problem reoccurring but it is working now. Perhaps the board had crashed like a Sky box can.
