Hi
Large build up of ice on the evap coils and heater in top compartment leading to poor cooling. Manually defrosted but no apparent auto defrost.
Can’t find the timer anywhere unless this is it in photo – in the top L corner of the white plastic assembly?!

The pic shows this whole assembly stuck on the compressor at the bottom of the freezer – more than just a relay? There is a small brass screw in the centre of the black area of plastic in the photo. Almost imposs to turn it as it’s got a tiny oval head! If it is the timer I can’t remove it. No screw seems to loosen it. Do I just pull it off the compressor then?
Not sure I can even find a replacement partbut I’d like to test it by turning the screw when on. In this position it’s a life-threatening procedure however!
Any clues? Or is it controlled by PCB?
