Hi, My Miele washing machine seems to be stuck in a programme after a power cut. There is a motor or pump running all the time and nothing else happening. I have drained the water, opened the door, reomoved clothes and switched it off at the mains. I can not see anything in the manual to help me. When switched back on the motor/pump is still running and nothing else works. Could you please tell me how to re-set the machine or point me in the right direction to fix it. Thanks, Dave W

only thing i can think of is the anti flood float as activated?
Try tipping machine backwards and see if any water runs out of the base?
Are the inlet and outlet lights flashing?
No other lights of faults coming on the display?
If main motor is running you should see drum turning? or if the drain pump motor is running when you remove the filter you should see the impellor turning? The only other motor that you might hear is mounted at the back of the soap dispensor drawer?
another other issue if machine was interrupted or programme changed you need to set it back to the wash programme you first set it on then let it finish! If still no joy you may need the help of a engineer? hope this helps BrianRe: Miele Premier W500 stuck after power cut help please
Thanks washermanuk for your help. I left it for 24 hours then had a go to fix it. The motor sound was still there so I did what you said but no water from under it. I removed the filter and it was quite clean in there and the drain pump impellar was not moving while the noise was there, nor was the drum. As you suggested I set it to the programme it was on before the power cut and for some reason I thought if there was a moter/pump running it would be better if the machine had water in it. So I put a couple of jug fulls in and pressed start. It worked and ran the whole programme. So it’s OK. I don’t know what or if I have done anything but thanks again for you input. I am happy that I do not have to get a Miele fixed or worse still buy a new one. Regards, Dave.
