Hi, I hope someone can help me here.

I have had my Hotpoint Fridge Freezer for almost 4 years and tonight it has started making a clicking noise at the top of the appliance where the temperature control is. It also seems to stop the light working in the fridge compartment even though I recently changed the bulbs.

I have tried switching the appliance off and back on again. It is quiet for a while then it starts clicking again.

I think it is something to do with the control board in the top of the appliance. I have had a look at the Hotpoint website to see if I can find the part (as I thinkg it needs replacing) but I cant find the name of the part I might need.

Now I have another problem with the Fridge Freezer. It seems to be switching itself off at least once a day and will not come back on until I unplug it for 10 seconds then plug it back in.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    have you changed the pcb?

cos if not, the relays probably faulty on the pcb

I have had a few engineers out to have a look at the fridge freezer. 2 said it was a faulty mainboard and it would cost £120 to replace and fit a new one. I did get another engineer out recommended by a local firm and he said he can fit a new relay on the board and prevent it happening again for £40.
