I have a hoover washing machine model Dynmic 10+ , the machine is powered up (it runs through a start up sequence) but hangs with the desplay only showing an error code E:15
model number is DYN10146P. Any ideas what this error code means / potential fix as the manual is useless ?
many thanks
Brian
oh dear.. your modules lost its memory.. not sure why, it is possible to reprogeamme the pcb with a gias mem writer, but only hoover and associated agents can do that (and me)… or you can replace the pcb, fully programmed.. but id need the 16 digit serial code (written inside the door) to get the correct part number
thanks – that would probably line up with a local lightning strike last wednesday that tripped the power in the house… looks like its a job for the engineer then.
Im in ireland.
Hoover engineer called – replacing the PCB, hopefully within guarantee. Would raise significant concerns for me over the design of the washing machine if a power surge can blow the pcb / wipe the memory……..
PCs tend to have surge protected power supplies if you are sensible, most dont and get away with it , but washing machines tend to be permanently connected to mains without surge protection.

As do most other domestic electrical and electronic devices throughout the modern home these days. Those lovely Sky TV boxes (especially those made by Pace) are particularly vulnerable to voltage fluctuations of this type. 😉
