    Hi,

I have a F&P IW811 and when it gets to spin mode it stalls with Fault code 37.

After some tests I worked out that the pump is working but the diverter valve seems to be stuck and all the water being pumped out gets recirculated back into the machine.

I removed the pump and ensured there are no blockages. All good there.

I removed the diverter valve and that also has no blockages. The diverter valve has 2.55KOhm across its terminals. Is that correct? So I suppose the fault must be either a faulty diverter valve or a faulty motor controller.

Is there any way to actually test and determine who the culprit is?
    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks

OK, problem is fixed so I thought I would post an update for anybody experiencing similar problems.

I pulled opened the case of the wax motor from the diverter valve and found that something had burnt in there. So I replaced the diverter valve, but still had the same problem.

Then also replaced main controller, and problem fixed. Woo Hoo….

Replacing the main controller also fixed 2 other problems that I’ve had for the past year.

    1. Machine was not getting any hot water. Replaced hot water valve and same problem. So then tried swapping my hot and cold valves around. Using a cold valve on the hot inlet and a hot valve on the cold inlet the machine was happy. Whenever I tried switching back, the machine would not take hot water. With the new controller, I now have the valves in the right spot and the machine is happy again.

    2. After completing rinse 1 cycle machine would stop with fault 136 (motor stalled). Manually starting the rinse 2 cycle would let the machine finish off the wash. This one has also been resolved with the new controller.

BTW, even though my controller was causing 3 separate faults, there was no visible damage on it.

I hope this information helps anyone who may be experiencing similar issues.
